Request data deletion

Use this form to request deletion of data associated with the Screentime Android app and the Screentime Challenge study, operated by The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.

What happens to your data

You can request deletion of your study phone number, app usage records, study responses, and device information. The research team will verify your identity and review which records can be deleted. Previously collected study data that must be retained under the approved study protocol may be kept for up to 90 days.

Stop future collection

You can withdraw by uninstalling the app. In the app’s Settings, you can also delete local study data or stop post-program collection. These actions do not delete records already sent to the research team. To stop study text messages, reply STOP.

Enter the U.S. phone number you used to join Screentime. We use it to locate your records and verify your request.

Submitting sends your phone number to the Screentime research team by email. It does not automatically delete data or stop collection.
